Week 1
This is the first week of our year two project. Our group consists of Yifan Wang, Jiahong Wu and Maiwen Xia. In this week, we: 1. Get some background information about our car. 2. Get the outline of the car. 3. Divide the work. 4. Create a logbook and blog and keep recording. As the development of technology, people are tend to rely on a smart system of home. Sweeping robot is one of them. Inspired by this, our project is making a simultaneously localization and mapping robot. Based on the setting program, the sweeping robot is able to measure the distance from obstacles and build a rough terrain framework. Although it is hard for us to build a smart car like that, we decided to build a simpler one. To start with, we needed to get some background information about how to build and program a small car from the Internet. Specifically speaking, we tried to program it through Arduino boards.
